Question by .: Why is it that some girls act like MAC is the only makeup brand that exists outside of the drugstore?
I think its overhyped. They are a bit more affordable than high end brands. I actually dont consider MAC high end but a niche product. Their makeup makes your skin worse so you become more dependable on makeup. Plus their foundations are crappy. They dont give really good coverage. Anyways, why is that all some girls know is MAC?

MAC is actually the cheapest of high end makeup. Their lip glosses are around $ 14.50 versus NARS or Stila, which would come up to $ 24. Their foundations are not crappy, and in fact, give quite good coverage. MY problem with MAC foundations is that they’re TOO thick, not that they are too thin. Like any product, some of theirs may not work with the skin. However, MAC is a legitimate brand. They have great pigmentation and color payoff. It is annoying, however, when people ONLY use MAC. There are other brands, such as Benefit, Urban Decay, NARS, Cargo, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, etc.
